Asus Eee Slate EP121 Laptop

The Eee Slate takes a slightly left-field approach to the tablet market, in that it goes for the biggest and best of everything, a fact that's reflected in its £997 asking price. Where most of the competition offers tablets of around 10 inches or less, the Slate's screen is a relatively huge 12.1in – and with an IPS panel protected by Gorilla glass it's as good as it gets. Motorola Clutch i475

The Clutch +i475 looks like a very different phone from the Clutch i465. At 4.23 inches long by 2.31 inches wide by 0.64 inch thick, the Clutch i475 is smaller and rounder, with curved corners and sloped sides. The back is clad in a rubbery textured finish that adds to its comfortable feel in the hand. Instead of red and silver edges, the Clutch is all black. The Clutch i475 is not as tough and durable as its predecessor, however; it is not certified against environmental hazards.

The Doro 409s is a clamshell phone

The Doro 409s is a clamshell phone. They used to be almost as popular as touchscreen phones are now, but for the most part their day has passed. Doro isn't ready to let this old form factor ride off into the sunset yet though. The inside of the handset is white, with black trimmings in the shape of buttons and the screen surround. The outside reverses this scheme, with white ornamentation on plain black.

HP TouchSmart 610-1065qd Pc

ike many modern all-in-one desktops, the PC components are built into the screen (we've seen some in which the components are built into the base). It has a good range of vertical motion (height adjustment) and even tilts forward about 5 degrees, so you can compute from a reclined position. The real innovation is in the 610-1065qd's tilt and recline function. Once the screen is tilted back fully, it actually slides down further, so it ultimately tilts back 60 degrees. It's not quite horizontal, but 60 degrees back allows the user to use the touchscreen without holding his arm straight out, parallel to the ground. You can even rest your hand on the speaker bar as a sort of wrist rest. When the 610-1065qd is in the fully reclined position, users will find it easy to use the touchscreen from a seated or standing position. This configuration is better than just laying the screen on the work surface: Anyone who uses an Apple iPad or other tablet will be able to tell you that a true horizontal 90 degree angle isn't much more comfortable than straight up either. You'll tend to hunch up and strain your shoulders if you're hovering directly over a screen.

Apple iMac 27-inch - Thunderbolt PC Review

On the outside, the iMac 27-inch (Thunderbolt) looks just like its aluminum and glass predecessors. It has the same huge 27-inch 2,560-by-1,440 resolution display, which is formatted with a 16:9 aspect ratio and is higher resolution than the 1,920 by 1,080 required for true 1080p HD. The display is so bright that Apple added a new ambient light sensor to auto-dim the screen, so users in brightly lit studios can keep their eyes from straining when a cloud obscures the sun or if someone draws the drapes over the window. The glass panel protecting the LED-backlit LCD display is glossy, one of the few nits against the iMac 27-inch (Thunderbolt). I'd like to see a matte finish option for graphics professionals who want it. Speaking of graphics professionals, Apple color calibrates each display before shipping it to the final user. Color calibration won't necessarily be a big consideration for the average consumer, but it's a boon to the graphics artist who makes her living with the iMac.

Samsung Stride SCH-R330

The Samsung Stride measures 3.7 by 1.9 by 0.7 inches (HWD) and weighs 3.1 ounces. It's made entirely of plastic, though Samsung adds a little flair with its textured, translucent front cover and metal-look red accents. The 1.1-inch, passive-matrix external display offers a retro-looking, 8-bit style LED clock. I like it, but your mileage may vary. The internal 1.9-inch LCD offers 176-by-220-pixel resolution, and looks sharp and bright for a low-end phone. The numeric keypad features large, soft-touch keys that are extremely comfortable to use, despite their somewhat flat look. Five function keys surrounded a hard plastic, rounded, five-way control pad. Dialing numbers and navigating the device were a cinch.
