It's dirty work! Rosie Huntington-Whiteley rolls around in the rubble on Transformers 3 set

By Daily Mail Reporter

Down and dirty: Rosie Huntington-Whiteley was seen lying on a pile of rubble as she filmed a scene in the new Transformers film in Chicago yesterday

Acting can be dirty work, just ask Transformers 3 star Rosie Huntingdon-Whiteley.
The model-turned actress was seen lying on a pile of rubble on the Chicago set of the new film yesterday.

Wearing a white hoodie and skinny grey jeans, the 23-year-old star looked rather dishevelled on the set which resembled a disaster scene.

Dishevelled: The British model looked dirty and unkempt

And her co-star Shia LaBeouf, 24, also looked like he had got into a few scrapes, with his face cut and smeared with dirt.

Little has been revealed about the plot, although director Michael Bay has said that the Chicago footage will be featured at the end of the film.

'The city is under alien attack so it's very critical and important to the film's climax,' he told The Chicago Sun Times.

And it seems the heroes of the film - Shia's character Sam and his love interest, played by Rosie, will have even more of a struggle defending the world from the bad robots.

Coffee break: A battered Shia LeBeouf grabs a drink in between takes

'The people in this movie have very few people coming to help them this time,' said the director.

'I like to think of it as the Black Hawk Down version of Transformers - it's much more intimate in terms of what's happening.

'Something bad is happening to America - and this is at the very end of the movie.'

The third film is thought to be the last in the franchise which is a reboot of the much-loved Eighties kids' cartoon in which cars and other vehicles can change, or transform, into robots.

New love: Rosie replaced Megan Fox as Shia's love interest in the film

The film began shooting in Los Angeles before moving to Chicago. It is said to then be heading to Florida, Milwaukee, Indiana and then back to LA.

Rosie was signed up to star after Megan Fox decided to opt out.

The third movie also sees the addition of Patrick Dempsey, John Malkovich and Frances McDormand to the cast.

Transformers 3 is due in cinemas next summer.

Take 35! How Carla kept fluffing her bit part in Woody Allen's film by hogging the camera...again

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FNzljOumeDkendofvid

By Daily Mail Reporter

Use your loaf: Owen Wilson and Carla Bruni-Sarkozy on set during the shooting of Woody Allen film Midnight in Paris

As movie sequences go, it is the essence of simplicity.

Attractive woman walks into small grocery store. Attractive woman then exits grocery store clutching baguette.

Alas, the lady tasked with performing the role was Carla Bruni, first lady of France and actress of rather limited experience.

Her director? Woody Allen, perfectionism personified.

Take some direction, sweetie: Director Woody Allen decides it's time to get a little hands on as he offers the French first lady some guidance

Another pause for thought: Carla seems to be pondering her motivation, while Woody is clearly mindful of her bodyguards

Their collaboration in his latest film, Midnight In Paris, duly descended into farce when she was told to perform the same scene a staggering 35 times.

It wasn't a case of Miss Bruni fluffing her lines - she didn't have any. The problem, apparently, was that she kept staring at the camera - as an exasperated Allen and her husband, President Nicolas Sarkozy, looked on.

'She seemed to be struggling to avoid looking directly into the camera, which didn't impress Woody,' said an onlooker in Paris. 'The baguette scene could not have been simpler, but she wanted to make it a big one. That's why she had to keep shooting it over and over again.'

Pointed argument: As Woody draws on all of his directorial skill to coach Carla through her scene, it looked like tempers occasionally flared

Don't blame poor Owen: As the light fades, Woody, Carla and now Owen continue to discuss the simple scene

'Woody was prompting Carla constantly, although he was very careful to show a lot of respect, especially as she was surrounded by security guards.'

The scene, shot in the heart of the Left Bank, was finally concluded after a number of animated exchanges between Allen, in fisherman's hat, and Miss Bruni.

Hollywood star Owen Wilson, who appears in the romantic comedy alongside 42-year- old Miss Bruni, was on hand to offer support to the one-time supermodel and pop singer.

Loyal support: Carla - cigarette in hand - is seen talking to her husband, French president Nicolas Sarkozy, as darkness falls on the film set

It is, of course, not the first time she has revealed a tendency to monopolise the camera. On a visit to London last month she turned her full feline charm on the photographers, with a husky 'bonjour'.

She glanced at the lenses at every opportunity, tossing her hai r and l icking her l ips seductively.

Miss Bruni, who plays a museum curator in the Allen movie, had a small role in the 1994 film Pret-a-Porter and the 1998 film Paparazzi, each time playing herself.

In November, when she announced her plans to accept Allen's offer of a role, she said: 'I'm not at all an actress. Maybe I'll be absolutely terrible.'

Hasn't he grown up! Shirtless Zac Efron shows off his toned body on the set of his new film

Toned: Zac Efron showed off his buff physique on a behind-the-scenes featurette for his new movie Charlie St. Cloud

He shot to fame as a teenage heart throb on hit Disney film High School Musical.

But Zac Efron is looking very much the grown up in new pictures which feature the star behind the scenes of his new film Charlie St Cloud.

The 22-year-old star showed he clearly spends a lot of time working out at the gym as he revealed his toned chest and biceps.

Six pack: The star has come a long way since his High School Musical days

The pictures are from a video featurette from new movie Charlie St Cloud where Zac explains a scene he filmed in a massive underground tank.

'It takes up pretty much the whole stage,' Zac says. 'Underwater, there’s this system, but you can actually hear voices underwater! I have no idea how it works.'
'It’s a lot of stuff you wouldn’t have to expect to have to deal with.

'When there’s elements involved like swimming through murky water, getting a certain piece of your vest snagged, very precise movements, it’s hard to hold your breath.'

Water baby: Zac Efron dons a harness as he prepares to enter the water

In the film, Zac plays a teenager who has to choose between keeping a promise he made to his brother, who died in a car accident, or trying to get the girl he loves.

Since the end of High School Musical, Zac has taken on a variety of different roles, including comedy 17 Again and drama Me And Orson Welles.

In fact, Zac was so determined to take his career in a new direction, he is said to have turned down the lead role in the remake of 1980s movie Footloose to star in Charlie St. Cloud.

Diving in: Zac braved the elements to play the role of Charlie St Cloud

Splashdown: The actor had to film scenes in a massive underwater tank

‘It's just something different. I just knew what I had to do personally and that was slow down and really do something that was a challenge,’ he said at the film's Los Angeles premiere.

'I wanted to do something that was really hard, see how far I can go,' he added.

'It feels more suspenseful, mysterious and supernatural. It is a much more emotional role.

'I hope it serves as a memorable transition into older, more complex characters.'

Angelina Jolie shows off her stunning legs in split-to-the-thigh dress at Salt premiere in Tokyo (shame about the veiny arms)

Walking tall: Angelina Jolie and her never-ending legs hit the red carpet for the premiere of Salt in Tokyo today

As she confidently strode onto the red carpet, to all intents and purposes Angelina Jolie was the epitome of Hollywood glamour.

The 35-year-old actress caused a frenzy at the Tokyo premiere of her new movie Salt, wearing a flowing black Versace chiffon dress, slashed provocatively to the hip and showing off her stunning legs.

However on closer inspection, the revealing outfit laid bare here sinewy arms, which were lined with bulging veins, suggesting the star had, perhaps, been working a little too hard at the gym.

Wearing her hair in a stylish updo, the svelte celeb teamed the backless design - which revealed her many tattoos - with a pair of towering heels.

The effect drew even more attention to her never-ending legs, but up close her many fans could not have failed to have noticed her Madonna-like arms.

Hollywood glamour: The star looked stunning in the design which she teamed with towering peep-toe heels

The assembled throng of fans waited hours in the sweltering 35C heat and humidity just to catch a glimpse of the star.

Angelina attended the Tokyo International Forum for the Japanese premiere of Salt and by the time she arrived at 7pm local time (11am BST), the hundreds of supporters erupted into deafening screams as she began signing autographs.

Over the weekend Angelina, who has six children with her long-term boyfriend Brad Pitt, was in Russia promoting the movie, in which she plays a woman called Evelyn Salt, a CIA agent who is accused of being a KGB spy and then goes on the run.

Oh dear: But the revealing outfit showed off the actress's veiny, Madonna-like arms, suggesting she had been working out a little to hard at the gym

Dress slashed to the hip: The backless design showed off her many tattoos. Jolie plays a secret agent in the spy thriller

Today she brushed off rumours about shaky relations with Pitt, 46.

'He was just a wonderful father,' she said of Pitt, during work on the film. 'He often brought the children to the set,' she added.

'They played with fake blood, and they found mommy very strange in her different hair,' she said.

Pitt and Jolie have been partners since they began a relationship while working on the 2005 film Mr & Mrs Smith.

Meet and greet: The assembled crowed erupted into a fervour as the star made her entrance

Last week, Pitt and Jolie accepted undisclosed damages in London's High Court to settle a privacy claim against a News of the World article that had reported in January that they were planning to split.

Asked about her ability to work and maintain a happy family, Jolie told reporters at a Tokyo hotel: 'Brad is the word that makes it possible.'

Jolie, who arrived yesterday, brought four of the children along on the Japan trip. They have already spent some time shopping for toys inspired by Japanese director Hayao Miyazaki's animation characters Ponyo and Totoro, she said.

Going wild: The assembled throng take photos of Jolie as she signs autographs - while security staff help to contain the fans

She acknowledged she once surprised her eight-year-old son Maddox with her disguise as a male naval officer in Salt.

He came into the room and reluctantly shook hands with the person he did not know was his mother.

'And I said, 'Honey, it's mommy,'' Jolie said.

'I think I freaked him out,' she said with a laugh, adding that he then watched her peel off her fake ears, hands and nose.

'I play these roles, but I'm always in every minute their mom first,' she said. 'I'm a bit of a goofy. I'm funny at home, I think.'

Her children are not going to be seeing the movie, however.

'I think it's very hard for them to see someone trying to kill their mom, even if she wins,' she said

Jessica Biel's plan doesn't come together when her sheer red dress reveals her black underwear at A-Team premiere

Fashion faux pas: Jessica Biel shows off her black underwear under her red dress as she arrives at the London premiere of The A-Team

After spending the past two months promoting the A-Team movie around the globe, Jessica Biel should be a seasoned red carpet veteran.

Arriving at the London premiere of the film tonight, she managed to commit two fashion faux pas as she wore an outfit the same colour as the carpet, and managed to flash her black underwear in the process.

But given the shapely actress's well-known penchant for regular workouts at the gym, she needn't have been too worried about what the flashbulbs would show up underneath her gown.

Whole lotta red: The actress's bright dress clashed with the red carpet - but her underwear did match the A-Team's GMC van

Justin Timberlake's girlfriend, 28, was credited with bringing the glamour to the male-dominated premiere in her Giambattista Valli gown and her matching red strappy sandals.

Female celebrity guests were few and far between as A-Team fans Alex Reid, Olly Murs, Chris Eubank and Leigh Francis turned up to watch the action movie.

Joining Biel were her co-stars Sharlto Copley (Murdock), Bradley Cooper (Face), Liam Neeson (Hannibal) and Quinton Jackson (B.A. Baracus).

Starry line-up: Biel joins co-stars (L-R) Sharlto Copley, Bradley Cooper, Liam Neeson and Quinton Jackson

Arriving before Biel, the star's leading men Cooper and Neeson spent time meeting the crowds in Leicester Square, posing for photographs and signing autographs.

And of course, they were joined by the film's 'other' star - the A-Team's iconic GMC van.

The London premiere is the latest stop in an international tour for the A-Team cast-members, who have already travelled to Paris, Madrid, Los Angeles and Mexico City, among others.

Writing ahead of tonight's screening, martial arts fighter Jackson wrote on his Twitter page: 'Imma bout to kick this A-team premiere off in London. We go smash it over here. I'm doin dis Memphis style.'

The gang's all here: Copley, Cooper, Neeson and Jackson pose on the red carpet

Meet 'n' greet: Cooper delighted fans when he posed for photos with them
The new A-Team movie has been the subject of heated debates since its conception, but production went on unabated.

Fans have debated the line-up for the film, and argued over whether the series should have been remade in the first place, over the past year.

Jackson in particular has been scrutinised, primarily by his UFC fans, for retiring from the sport to pursue his acting career.

But he has also faced criticism from fans of the TV show, because of his lack of acting experience and the irreplaceable quality of the original B.A. Baracus, Mr.T.

Loving the limelight: Cagefighter Alex Reid strikes a martial arts pose on the red carpet

The new film updates the original story which saw the A-Team flee an army prison, where they were being held for a crime they didn't commit, and operating as a vigilante outfit.

In the original Eighties television series they were Vietnam war vets, but in the new film they are veterans from the Iraq war.

Other notable differences are influenced by the film's high production values, with bigger explosions and special effects.

However, judging by the film's trailer it appears that the producers have at least attempted to stay true to many aspects of the TV series - including some of the classic catchphrases and running jokes that made the show so popular.

Shiloh Nouvel is the image of her father, Pitt the younger

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vFtzk-lDub0endofvid
[starttext]

By Sarah Bull and Eleanor Shipton

Daddy's girl: There's no mistaking the genetics of four-year-old Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt

Their parents want them to enjoy all the fun of a normal childhood.

But with two of Hollywood's biggest stars as mum and dad, the Jolie-Pitt youngsters might find it hard to avoid a sprinkling of stardust themselves.

Four-year-old Shiloh Jolie-Pitt certainly looked every inch a screen idol as she walked through a Japanese airport yesterday, hand-in-hand with mother Angelina Jolie, and adopted 'rainbow family' siblings Maddox, eight, and Pax, six, and five-year-old Zahara

But with her cropped blonde hair and sparkling blue eyes, it was dad Brad Pitt who she most resembled.

Miss Jolie, 35, has spoken of her daughter's tomboy tendencies, discussing Shiloh's request that her parents crop her blonde hair and referring to her daughter's dress-sense as 'Montenegro style'.

She told Vanity Fair magazine last month: 'It's how people dress there. She likes tracksuits, she likes suits.

'She likes to dress like a boy. She wants to be a boy. So we had to cut her hair. She likes to wear boys' everything. She thinks she's one of the brothers.'

Stylish: Angelina Jolie and her children (left to right) Maddox, Zahara, Pax and Shiloh walk through New Tokyo International Airport in Narita after arriving in Japan this morning

Trendy: All four children appear to have different styles, while their mother looks effortlessly stylish in a black silk dress and beige flip flops

And Shiloh's attempts to emulate her brothers have extended to demanding that her family calls her John at all times.

She has answered only to this for nearly a year because of her love of the story of Peter Pan (in the book by JM Barrie, John is Wendy's younger brother).

'We've got to call her John,' Brad Pitt revealed, noting that when he started to ask, 'Shi, do you want...' she would interrupt with: 'John. I'm John.'

The actor, shown below, added: 'I'll say, "John, would you like some orange juice?" And she goes, "No!"'

The children were accompanying their mother on a promotional tour for her new action thriller, Salt, which marks her return to work after an 18-month break to look after her family.

'Montenegro style': Angelina said recently that Shiloh always likes dressing as a boy, so she kits her out as 'a little dude'

Looking trendy in a variety of smart outfits, Maddox, Pax, Shiloh and Zahara clung to their mother's hand as they walked through Japan's New Tokyo International Airport in Narita yesterday morning.

And despite having to control four children on her own, Angelina looked the picture of calm as she strolled through the airport in a fashionable black silk dress and tan flip flops.

The only time the 35-year-old actress gave any hint of the stress she may have been feeling was when she told eight-year-old Maddox off for apparently hitting his younger brother.

However, there were some absences from the group as they walked through the airport - namely Angelina's partner Brad Pitt and their two-year-old twins Vivienne and Knox

Giggles all round: The children can't stop smiling as they share a joke with their Hollywood star mother

It is thought Brad is looking after the youngsters while Angelina travels the world promoting her new action movie Salt.

But the 46-year-old actor is there in spirit, it seems - if only to influence his children's way of dressing.

While Pax appears to be attempting to emulate Brad's style in a cool beige linen suit and flat cap, Maddox seems to be going for an altogether more trendy look in a white vest, black trousers and white trainers.

And Shiloh and Zahara both went for a summery look in yellow - with Zahara wearing a white top and white shorts accessorised with a bright yellow cardigan, and Shiloh teaming her beige trousers with a a pale lemon T-shirt.

Accidents: Maddox hits Pax's face as they mess around, but the action doesn't go down too well with Angelina

Discipline: Angelina tells Maddox off after hitting Pax, while Shiloh looks entirely disinterested by the situation

The actress recently spoke about son Maddox, the first child she adopted, and the twins.

She added to Vanity Fair magazine: 'Maddox is a real intellectual, which I can take no credit for genetically. He's great at school, great at history.

'He feels like he could be a writer or travel the world and learn about places and things.

'The twins are a classic boy and girl. She's really female. And he's really a little dude.'

On Sunday night, Angelina attended the Salt premiere in Moscow, Russia, looking stunning in a red halterneck dress.

In the film, released in the UK this week, Angelina plays a woman called Evelyn Salt, a CIA agent who is accused of being a KGB spy and then goes on the run.

Red hot Angelina Jolie greets a young fan with a kiss as she arrives for the Russian premiere of new spy movie Salt

By Georgina Littlejohn

Maternal instinct: Angelina Jolie kisses a young fan who greeted her at the Moscow premiere of her new movie Salt

Having spent the last week jetting around to promote her new movie, Angelina Jolie is no doubt missing her brood of children back home.

So it was no wonder she took a motherly shine to a young fan who greeted her at the Russian premiere of her new film last night.

Angelina, 35, was signing autographs and chatting to fans outside the Moscow screening of spy thriller Salt when she spotted the young girl leaning towards her.

Common touch: The actress seemed to put the girl at ease despite being one of the most famous people in the world

Her maternal instinct kicked in as she stood next to the girl, who looked a little overwhelmed by the crush of people pushing photos and cameras in her idols face as they waited in the 35degree heat.

But her nerves turned to delight as Angelina touched her cheek to reassure her and then leaned in and gave her a gentle kiss on the cheek.

The actress would not doubt have been reminded about her six children - Maddox, 8, Pax, 6, Zahara, 5, Shiloh, 4, and two-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne - waiting for her at home.

Scarlet lady: Angelina's flowing red gown was a departure from the her usual favourite bl

Going solo: Angelina cut a solitary figure on the red carpet as the only star of the film to attend the Moscow premiere

Melee: Hundreds of fans and photographers had turned out to the actress

Angelina delighted fans with 'dobry vecher' which is Russian for 'good evening'

The actress was in the former Soviet Union this weekend promoting her new film Salt, and aptly wore a red-coloured Versace gown to the premiere today.

She looked stunning in the flowing scarlet frock as she chatted to fans and posed on the red carpet outside the city's Oktyabr cinema.

Inside, she greeted the press and the audience with a cheery, 'dobry vecher', which is Russian for 'good evening'.

In the film, is released in the UK this week, she plays a woman called Evelyn Salt, a CIA agent who is accused of being a KGB spy and then goes on the run.

And Angelina is only too aware of how life can imitate art - or vice versa.

Stunning: Angelina's tight-fitting red dress accentuated her toned figure

The film was released in the US last Friday, just weeks after 10 Russian sleeper agents were expelled from the United States and traded for four Western agents released by Moscow.

But Angelina said despite this, she thinks that in real life, US-Russian relations are going well.

Spekaing at a press conference she held earlier in the day in a building right in front of the city's famous Red Square, she said: 'You don't want to focus on the negative behind this issue of the spy swap because I think that what is happening between our countries is wonderful these days, so many positive movements forward.'
