Walking tall: Angelina Jolie and her never-ending legs hit the red carpet for the premiere of Salt in Tokyo today
As she confidently strode onto the red carpet, to all intents and purposes Angelina Jolie was the epitome of Hollywood glamour.
The 35-year-old actress caused a frenzy at the Tokyo premiere of her new movie Salt, wearing a flowing black Versace chiffon dress, slashed provocatively to the hip and showing off her stunning legs.
However on closer inspection, the revealing outfit laid bare here sinewy arms, which were lined with bulging veins, suggesting the star had, perhaps, been working a little too hard at the gym.
Wearing her hair in a stylish updo, the svelte celeb teamed the backless design - which revealed her many tattoos - with a pair of towering heels.
The effect drew even more attention to her never-ending legs, but up close her many fans could not have failed to have noticed her Madonna-like arms.

The assembled throng of fans waited hours in the sweltering 35C heat and humidity just to catch a glimpse of the star.
Angelina attended the Tokyo International Forum for the Japanese premiere of Salt and by the time she arrived at 7pm local time (11am BST), the hundreds of supporters erupted into deafening screams as she began signing autographs.
Over the weekend Angelina, who has six children with her long-term boyfriend Brad Pitt, was in Russia promoting the movie, in which she plays a woman called Evelyn Salt, a CIA agent who is accused of being a KGB spy and then goes on the run.

Today she brushed off rumours about shaky relations with Pitt, 46.
'He was just a wonderful father,' she said of Pitt, during work on the film. 'He often brought the children to the set,' she added.
'They played with fake blood, and they found mommy very strange in her different hair,' she said.
Pitt and Jolie have been partners since they began a relationship while working on the 2005 film Mr & Mrs Smith.
Meet and greet: The assembled crowed erupted into a fervour as the star made her entrance
Last week, Pitt and Jolie accepted undisclosed damages in London's High Court to settle a privacy claim against a News of the World article that had reported in January that they were planning to split.
Asked about her ability to work and maintain a happy family, Jolie told reporters at a Tokyo hotel: 'Brad is the word that makes it possible.'
Jolie, who arrived yesterday, brought four of the children along on the Japan trip. They have already spent some time shopping for toys inspired by Japanese director Hayao Miyazaki's animation characters Ponyo and Totoro, she said.

She acknowledged she once surprised her eight-year-old son Maddox with her disguise as a male naval officer in Salt.
He came into the room and reluctantly shook hands with the person he did not know was his mother.
'And I said, 'Honey, it's mommy,'' Jolie said.
'I think I freaked him out,' she said with a laugh, adding that he then watched her peel off her fake ears, hands and nose.
'I play these roles, but I'm always in every minute their mom first,' she said. 'I'm a bit of a goofy. I'm funny at home, I think.'
Her children are not going to be seeing the movie, however.
'I think it's very hard for them to see someone trying to kill their mom, even if she wins,' she said
